Solution
This is a classic tricky counting puzzle. A T-shirt has two sides (front and back).
You must count all the physical openings, including the ones that go all the way through:
- The hole for the neck (1).
- The holes for the two sleeves (2).
- The hole at the bottom (1).
- The cut-out holes visible on the front (usually 2).
- Since the cut-out holes go all the way through, they also represent missing fabric on the back layer (2).
Total: 1 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 2 = 8.
The answer is 8.
